Pirate radio was all the rage in the 1970's. In fact it has been so ever since, although the radio regulatory agencies continue to hound those that find legal radio so sterile they are forced to start they're own!
This was the case in the 1960's with the original offshore stations that operated from ships off the UK coast and the later landbased operators that continued after most of the offshore stations were forced off the air by the 1967 Marine Offences Act.
This site is dedicated to Radio Kaleidoscope which, in it's two distinct phases, covered a period between 1967 and 1976.
